Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 16, 2026

This page explains what patient-lifting.com, operated as Athens Yacht Charter, stores in your browser or sends to other servers when you look at our fleet of 33 yachts in Athens or send us a charter enquiry. It is written for visitors to the site, not for guests already on board.

Storage used on this site

Visit-measurement identifiers (local storage, our own domain)
Random visitor and session identifiers used to count visits and link an enquiry or WhatsApp click to the visit that produced it. Expires 30 days after the last visit; contains no contact details.
Cookie notice acknowledgement (local storage)
Remembers that you closed the cookie notice so it is not shown again. Stays until you clear your browser storage.
Selected yacht (session storage)
Remembers which yacht you clicked on so the enquiry form can be pre-filled. Deleted when you close the tab or submit the form.
Google Fonts (google.com)
Loads the typefaces used on the site. Google receives the visitor's IP address with this request; no cookie is set for us.
jsDelivr CDN - intl-tel-input library
Loads the phone-number input script for the enquiry form. jsDelivr receives the visitor's IP address with this request; no cookie is set for us.

What do we mean by cookies and browser storage?

A cookie is a small file a website can place in your browser so it recognises you later. Local storage and session storage do a similar job but stay inside the browser itself rather than being sent back automatically with every page request; session storage disappears when the tab closes. Loading a font or a script from another company's server can leave a trace with that company too, because the request carries the visitor's IP address.

This page lists every one of these mechanisms used on patient-lifting.com, in plain terms.

Does the site set its own cookies?

No. patient-lifting.com sets no cookies, and installs no third-party analytics, advertising or social-media tracking tags.

To understand how visitors use the site, including the pages covering our 33 yachts and day rates from €1,720, we run a visit-counting script served from our own domain. It records:

  • pages viewed and time spent on each page
  • the referring website and any campaign parameters carried in the link, such as a UTM tag or an ad click id
  • device type, browser, operating system and screen size
  • the browser's language setting
  • the country derived from the IP address; the IP address itself is not stored

When a visitor sends an enquiry or clicks a phone or WhatsApp link, that action is attached to the same visit record so we can see which channel produced it. This measurement relies on the local-storage identifiers listed above and clears itself automatically 30 days after the last visit.

What else sits in your browser?

Two further entries are kept locally, neither containing your name, email or phone number:

  • a note that you dismissed the cookie banner, so it does not reappear on every page
  • the yacht you last clicked on, held only for the current tab so the enquiry form can open already filled in

Both are described in the table above, together with how long each one lasts and how to remove it.

What happens when fonts or scripts load from elsewhere?

Two outside requests are made when a page on this site loads:

  • Google Fonts supplies the typefaces used throughout the site; Google receives the visitor's IP address as part of delivering them
  • jsDelivr, a content delivery network, supplies the intl-tel-input library that powers the phone-number field in our enquiry form; jsDelivr also receives the visitor's IP address

Neither of these providers sets a cookie on our behalf, and neither is used for analytics or advertising. They are loaded only so the page renders correctly and the form works.

What about the WhatsApp buttons?

WhatsApp buttons on this site open a conversation with Athens Yacht Charter only after you click; nothing is placed on this website by WhatsApp before that click. When you do click, we log the event in our own booking system — the page URL, referrer, browser language and the pre-filled message text — so we know a WhatsApp enquiry has started. From that point the conversation itself runs inside WhatsApp, provided by Meta, under WhatsApp's own privacy policy.

How can you manage this, and what if it changes?

You can clear or block local storage and session storage at any time through your browser's settings. Doing so only means the cookie notice reappears and the yacht pre-fill stops working until you click again; it does not stop you from browsing, enquiring or reaching us on WhatsApp. Blocking our visit-counting script, for example with a browser extension, has the same limited effect.

This policy is written under the ePrivacy rules as implemented in Greece through Law 3471/2006 on the protection of personal data and privacy in electronic communications, as amended. The supervisory authority for these matters is the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.

If we ever introduce an optional cookie, for instance for a future marketing feature, we will update this page first and ask for your consent before it is set. Questions about this policy can be sent to [email protected].
